Blake Griffin announced his retirement Tuesday after 14 years of carreer

Griffin was the No. 1 overall pick by the Los Angeles Clippers out of Oklahoma in 2009.

 Griffin came back the following season and won the 2010-11 Rookie of the Year Award and made the first of five straight All-Star appearances. .

Due to the high flying plays of Chris Paul and DeAndre Jordan  revitalized the Clippers franchise and earned it the nickname “Lob City."

 “Blake was one of the most dynamic players we’ve seen in this league for a long time as far as athletic-wise. One thing he doesn’t get credit for is his passing ability. He had a great career.” Tyronn lue said.

  Griffin has averaged 19.0 points and 8.0 rebounds in his career.

  Despite many ups and downs throughout his career, Griffin usually said on his Instagram account that he was thankful for his NBA life.

Griffin said "All of these experiences made my 14 years in the league truly unforgettable and I can't help but to just feel thankful,"

His best season was the 2013-14 campaign, in which he averaged 24.1 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3.9 assists.
